THE ENTIRE MSC CRUISES FLEET WILL SAIL IN 2022 WITH AN EXTRAORDINARY SUMMER PROGRAM

MSC Virtuosa will enrich the offer of cruising northern Europe with Southampton as its home port with a series of enchanting itineraries to Norwegian fjords and Baltic capitals

Geneva, Switzerland, December 2, 2021 – MSC Cruises confirmed today that the entire fleet of the company, a total of 19 ships, will sail during the next summer season in 2022, offering an outstanding choice of cruises. With almost 500 departures, different cruise lengths, an amazing selection of ports of call and a modern fleet of ships that offers an incomparable experience – everyone will find something for themselves. Enjoy all-day boat activities, award-winning entertainment, an impressive children’s and family program, refined international cuisine and a luxurious spa, all while staying in a modern and comfortable cabin. Here you will find an itinerary and a boat suitable for every type of tourist: from short Mediterranean cruises, longer picturesque cruises in northern Europe to cruises touring Caribbean beaches, and guests can book their vacation now.

MSC Virtuosa, one of the company’s newest ships, will sail through northern Europe after a season spent in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. It will replace the MSC Magnifica, and its new home port will be Southampton, UK from 5 months. Next summer, guests looking to experience the magic of Northern Europe will be able to choose from 5 boats, different port of call and more than 50 different itineraries including stunning fjords, bustling cities, historic capitals and enchanting landscapes with 3 to 21 night cruises. MSC Magnifica will also spend the summer in northern Europe, replacing the previously announced MSC Orchestra, offering an identical itinerary from Hamburg on 10, 11 and 14 night cruises. This boat is extremely popular in this region and has a swimming pool with a magrodome sliding roof.

Those who dream of exploring the Mediterranean, one of the world’s most popular cruise regions, will be able to choose from 40 itineraries and 14 glamorous, modern boats during the 2022 summer season. The summer program includes more boats than ever in the region and different lengths of cruises – from mini cruises up to 21 nights.

New for next summer is the brand new itinerary of the MSC Orchestra, which will sail regularly to Lisbon (Portugal). This will further improve our offer for guests from Portugal who will have the opportunity to board at the local port throughout the summer season with a rich itinerary with many interesting ports.

The new 10-night itinerary will include: Genoa (Italy), Marseille / Provence (France), Malaga, Cadiz, Alicante / Costa Blanca and Mahon / Menorca (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal) and Olbia on the Emerald Coast / Sardinia in Italy. The sale of the cruise ship for the MSC Orchestra will be open soon.

The western Mediterranean will be sailed next summer by MSC Grandios, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Opera, MSC Splendida, MSC Seaview, MSC Seaside and MSC Magnifica and MSC Poesia in the autumn, and the eastern MSC Musica, MSC Fantasia, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Armonia and MSC Lirica.

In the autumn of 2022, MSC Fantasia will offer 11-night cruises from Trieste with sailings to Izmir / Ephesus or Istanbul. MSC Magnifica will sail from Genoa to Morocco and the Canary Islands on 11-night cruises. MSC Preziosa will sail from Hamburg visiting the Pearls of the North on 7-night cruises while MSC Poesia will offer mini Mediterranean cruises.

The company’s flagship, MSC Seashore, remains in the Caribbean and will continue to sail from Port Miami while MSC Divina will offer 3, 4 and 7 night cruises departing from Port Canaveral (Orlando). Both ships will visit the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas.

Our representative in the Far East will be MSC Bellissima with cruises in Japan and China.

As of August 2020, MSC Cruises guests have been sailing under the protection of the industry’s leading health and safety protocol developed with the help of a Blue-Ribbon panel of experts and proven safe and effective through all stages of the pandemic. The protocol is designed to adapt to the situation on the coast and over the past 16 months existing measures have been mitigated or tightened in line with the development of the pandemic to continue to provide maximum protection for guests and crew members. All MSC cruises are now open to fully vaccinated guests, and the same measure will apply during the summer of 2022. The company will continue to implement appropriate measures to ensure that guests enjoy one of the safest vacations with an unforgettable time on board.

MSC Cruises wants to help guests book their summer vacation with full confidence, so all new bookings will be confirmed by 31.12.2021. and for all cruises in the winter 2021/22 and summer 2022 seasons to be flexible

booking conditions. This means that guests can book a cruise with a standard deposit payment, and will be able to change the departure date of their cruise at no extra charge up to 15 days before departure, or 21 days for Fly & Cruise reservations.
